Demonstration of Knowledge: Homemade Lava Lamp

In class, we learned about the structure and properties of matter. Before the unit, I had seen a lava lamp before, but after the unit I was able to realize all the science behind them. A homemade lava lamp can be made using water, food coloring, oil and an alka-seltzer tablet. During the process of making a homemade lava lamp, we were able to observe all the reactions that were going on. Watch the video below to learn about all the science behind lava lamps!
